Painted Image Farm started in Longmont, Colorado in 1981...
We started with a small band of Paint and Quarter Horse mares.  These mares were bred to the top stallions of that time: Reserve World Champion, Sonny Eclipse, Supreme Champion, You Bet Amigo, Legendary Versary Bars, APHA Champion – Superior Halter Horse Twist In Time and APHA Champion – Superior Halter Horse Save The Farm.  During this era the Farm produced a Reserve National Champion, Futurity and class winners, an APHA Champion and several Superiors.  In 2004 the farm relocated in International Falls, MN.

Painted Image Farm is small with 3 of the best Paint or Paint/Quarter Horse mares in the country.
Due to the small size of our breeding operation our emphasis is on Quality instead of quantity.   Each mare is a multiple halter class winner and halter point earner.  Two of the three mares have earned Club High Point and Reserve High Point Awards and we boast a Futurity Winner and multiple Grand and Reserve Grand Champion.  Our mares carry the bloodlines of the countries top Halter and Performance horses and include a daughter of Touchdown Kid, a granddaughter of Coolest and a granddaughter of Real Bud Light, a Versatility Champion, APHA Champion, two Superiors and nine Registers of Merit with a total of 349 APHA Points!

The Farm’s size allows us to produce world Champion quality horses with small breeder care and attention.
Each stallion selected for breeding is chosen for his bloodlines, conformation and marketability to compliment our mares.  Foals produced receive personalized care, handling and feed from birth to the time a satisfied client takes them home.  Foals receive a total education which results in safe horses with great minds who trust and “like” people. Our goal is to raise and sell the finest babies in the industry.
